It's not uncommon to come across blog articles written on seasonal topics. There are some anniversaries or periods that stimulate writing, that inspire the blogger's creativity. How appropriate is it to write posts like this? Are they really useful to the blog and readers? Summer posts On my blog I wrote some summer posts, in the fields of reading, writing and editorial marketing. In my first article I reflected on what to read in the summer, due to the classic umbrella readings that are often talked about, and in a second article on reading I was talking about how much more people read in the summer.
These are therefore quite inflated topics, yet with the first article I am first on Google and with the other I am second. I then wrote an article giving advice on how to improve your writing in the Phone Number Data summer: in this case it wasn't a popular topic, but it was indeed both original and personal. In the field of editorial promotion, I wrote an article on thesummer marketing activities that a publisher and a writer can undertake to improve their position. Another summer article, but without falling into lack of imagination or banality. Evaluate summer posts I believe that the main problem is a careful evaluation of the summer article to be written. The blogger, even if he is tempted to write a post like this, must always remember to write articles of value for his readers.
Are there already summer posts on that topic? Can the blogger still write something original? Will the summer post really help readers? This does not mean that those who have a literary blog cannot write a light post about their summer readings: in that case the usefulness is always there and it is an original article, because it is unique. Christmas posts Only one Christmas post has appeared on Blue Pen so far, about writing Christmas stories. It was an experiment, I wanted to see if I could write an article that was still interesting and useful for readers. Even with that key I'm first on Google, but that wasn't the challenge. Christmas posts are more frequent in other types of blogs, such as food and wine blogs, travel blogs, although in that case it is very easy to write uninteresting and original articles. The blogosphere is now full of Christmas recipes and Christmas holidays.
